Our Processes

Multiple tools in our arsenal.

VARTM is a technique that uses vacuum pressure to drive resin into a laminate. Vacuum infusion produces strong, lightweight laminates and offers substantial emissions reductions (compared to open-molding processing and wet lay-up vacuum bagging).

Light Resin Transfer Molding, or Light RTM, is a process by which composite & biocomposite products are manufactured using a closed mold system. The closed mold consists of an “A” side mold (base mold) and a semi-rigid “B” side mold (counter mold) that is sealed to the “A” side mold using vacuum pressure. Resin is drawn into the resulting cavity under vacuum.

Compression molding is a manufacturing process in which composite or biocomposite materials are sandwiched between two matching molds under intense pressure and heat (from 250° to 400° F) until the part cures. This technique is used to rapidly cure large quantities of complex fiberglass-reinforced polymer parts.

Resin casting is a plastic casting process where liquid synthetic resin is filled in mold and allowed to harden. Traditionally this process is chiefly used for small- scale production such as industrial prototypes and dentistry products. It can also be used by amateur hobbyists and manufacturers to create collectible toys, scale models, models of objects, figurines, and small-scale jewellery production.

Open molding is a low cost and effective method to manufacture composites. Open mold processes include, spray-up (chopping) and hand lay-up. In open molding, raw materials (resins and fiber reinforcements) are exposed to air as they cure or harden.

A 3-axis CNC machine operates along three linear axes: X (left-right), Y (forward-backward), and Z (up-down), controlled by computer software. It is widely used for precise manufacturing tasks like milling, drilling, and cutting, producing parts with simple to moderately complex geometries for industries such as automotive and aerospace. Known for its versatility, speed, and cost-effectiveness, the 3-axis CNC is ideal for both low and high-volume production.
